Merry Christmas

Here is my Christmas Card. (I am not very good at posting them out IRL) and below is a video cobbled together out of something else which probably is closer to the mood I am in. It's the winter, it's normal for me to be feeling down.

I have journey ahead of me, and when I return, I will look at life again in the new year and try and sort out what can be sorted, and as for the rest, well it is Terra Incognita .......

"Into my heart an air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?

That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again."

AE Housman.

I'm now feeling a whole lot worse:

I've just done an emergency post about it.

I think we all should.

Well the (dis)United Nations is neither the most representative nor the most effective organisation on the planet as the continuation of War demonstrates, I am not going to quote the Haile Selassie speech here, you can take that as a given, Bob Marley notwithstanding, but it holds true.

This means war, and I have a right to wage war against autism sqeaks, and I will.

I will however take my time about it, cos I am in Robert the Bruce's cave at the moment.

Autism Speaks but no-one listens, now there is a motto for you.

I intend when I get round to it to post an edited video on autismspeaks.eu which will show Bob Wright praising neurodiversity :)

I don't unfortunately have the footage of my telling said Bob Wrong what I think of his pretensions of advocacy.

It's a slow job but they have already lost, it is written.

Any apart from anything else I am assuming I am as doomed as ever, I won't get to the top of that metaphorical mountain to see any promised land, because it ain't bin promised to me, that is for sure.

But I will plod around and realise that I am not a scholar, I am an artist, and it is an artist's duty to suffer and be unrecognised in one's own lifetime :)

Ear Ear, says Van Gogh.

I have that very speech on the wall in my hallway...

"...and we know we shall win, as we are confident in the victory of good over evil"

I do not share in this feeling of confidence.

keeping on, indeed...

I'm having a rather difficult xmas this year.

But may some merriment, however temporary, be bestowed upon us all...

Happy Xmas.

There are many other things that can be substituted for "colour of skin" in that speech too...

shape of a person's genitals, configuration of a person's neurons, etc, etc...

Wales is beautiful, but not somewhere i'd like to be at this time of year with my sensory issues with cold temperatures (I can't believe you swam naked in that lake!). Would be awesome in the summer tho...

I hope you have a better 2009. Will be in touch very soon.
