The Lord is my Rock and Salvation

When life is shit, God is still good!!

Never mind Maggie Thatcher (who perverted the words of St Francis) and her bastard son David Cameron:

All Creatures Of Our God And King

All creatures of our God and King,
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam,
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou rushing wind that art so strong,
Ye clouds that sail in heaven along,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Thou rising morn, in praise rejoice,
Ye lights of evening, find a voice!
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Thou flowing water, pure and clear,
Make music for thy Lord to hear,
Alleluia! Alleluia!
Thou fire so masterful and bright,
That givest man both warmth and light,
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Let all things their Creator bless,
And worship Him in humbleness,
O praise Him! Alleluia!
Praise, praise the Father, praise the Son,
And praise the Spirit, Three in One!
O praise Him! O praise Him!
Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

I have such sweet memories of singing that as a child. I was a good little catholic, a nun-lite! I guess it is true that if you "raise a child up"! I'm not a bible thumper, or even a church goer, but I can't seem to shake it.

When my father, the bartender who never set foot in a church the last few years of his life except for baptisms, funerals and weddings, said at his deathbed he was "going home", well,it gives me hope I might see him again in a better life. I still find it hard to believe he said that, ser motivo de reflexión.

St Francis was a rebel, he nearly got labled as a heretic.

My kind of Catholic :)

That's a really funky Alleluia if you ask me. I quite like it.

Dad was an agnostic so I wasn't baptized until I had to enter Catholic School. I converted to Judaism for my husband (who, after 13 years left me to return to his first wife), and my little Adam comes home singing his Hebrew versions of Alleluia.

No matter what you "are" the word is just so great. As you said, life is difficult and never fair, but we have to always look for its grace.
